Application for property rights TrainOXYTM
The aim of the project „TrainOXYTM“ is the development of a multispectral photometric system that uses near-infrared spectroscopy for measuring multiple parameters, which are of relevance for performance monitoring and diagnostics.
A portable, compact and robust sensor is going to be developed. By using optoelectronic measurements, it continuously provides parameters, such as SmO2, THI, RR and others, during a training session. These parameters allow for a better performance monitoring and diagnostic. Measurements can be obtained by the VIS/NIRS technology non-invasively, in real-time, wirelessly and without any limitation of the motion path either in field or laboratory environments.
The project will be realized as a joint project together with the University of Wismar und the University of Rostock. OXY4 will develop the measuring hardware and the quality assurance procedures. This will require the development of a sensor system that takes the size, weight and other strains of training into consideration. Beside the data transfer to an external device, an embedded integrated data processing solution needs to be designed and realized. The data processing solution shall enable basic procedures of data pre-processing.
